Design Collaborations

Individual series designed for AuraKarwendel are created in collaboration with contemporary designers. The combination of old and new, traditional and modern - but always with style and good design make AuraKarwendel a very special place.

Some projects are still in the development process, others we can already proudly present:

KARL for AuraKarwendel

The KARL furniture series was designed for AuraKarwendel by Studio Mark Braun. The design is a reinterpretation of classic parlor furniture. The screwed construction in larch has a high recognition value thanks to its striking appearance.

A break or a perfect complement - in any case a stylish combination of Tyrolean tradition and timeless modernity.

Incidentally, Thomas Prantl's great-uncle Karl Parzer, who built the house in the 1960s, was the namesake for KARL.

Fortune drinking glass series ISARAUEN for AuraKarwendel

The traditional Viennese company Lobmeyr is known for its glass objects with engraving or painting. The Fortune series was created with a focus on water and glass, as these two substances are visually very similar.

The Fortune water carafe was designed by Mark Braun and uses special engraving techniques to capture the silhouettes of Austrian lakes, rivers and glaciers.

For AuraKarwendel, this edition now has a new member: a delicate engraving of the Isar meadows.

The Isar rises near Scharnitz and impresses with its crystal-clear water on its way through the Karwendel valley.

TREBLE Bar Stool by Northern at AuraKarwendel

The striking triangular frame structure, the angular legs and the round seat of the Treble Bar Stool were not designed specifically for AuraK, but combine modern design and comfort - just like the AuraKarwendel. The bar stool was designed by Mark Braun. The oiled oak and upholstered leather surfaces have a timeless Nordic look and form a warm, natural contrast to the powder-coated stainless steel.

The interplay of different materials is reflected in all the rooms.

Breat basket HAPPY NAPKIN - Josef Frank Edition for AuraKarwendel

The napkin, which usually finds its place in the bread basket under the pastries, becomes the bread basket itself with POLKA Design.

A thin wire mesh in the removable cover can be individually shaped.

The bread baskets were made especially for AuraKarwendel in pure linen - uni nature and Design by Josef Frank complement each other to create a stylish combination.

The bread baskets are made by GOODGOODs - they bring sustainable design products from sheltered workshops to the market at fair prices. Their aim is to combine the skills of people with disabilities and designers.
